Royal Mayan Scarf
This 2-tone scarf is woven on a footloom up in the
Nahuala region of Guatemala. The rich colors and light
weight are perfect for any time of year. This scarf is a
rich gold and may have subtle purple accents. It
measures 66 inches excluding fringe by 14 inches wide.
Cooperative Profile
Maya Traditions works with more than 100 Maya
women in five established groups in rural villages.
Predominantly working with women who do backstrap weaving,
an ancient traditional art which women can do at home while
caring for their families. In addition, they work with a
group of women crochet artisans, footloom weavers, and small
family businesses.
